Who we are:

We’re the mother/daughter team of Ann Scholl Rinehart and Jess Lorraine Boyer. Ann began shooting photos as a newspaper reporter, straight out of college in 1985. As early as kindergarten, Jess was tagging along at her mama’s side, learning by observing. We began shooting family weddings together first, then for friends and then friends of friends. Senior photos got tossed in the mix. And events. Eventually we figured, what the heck, let’s make it official: 2 Chicks & a Camera Photography was born.

What we do:

Plain and simple, we take great photos. We both have a great eye for shots. Jess loves to capture shots while her mom sets up the formal stuff. We shoot senior photos, weddings, parties, events. Our motto: “Photos for Chicken Feed.” Corny but true. (For the record, Jess didn’t want to use that tag).

Where we’re located:

We operate 2 Chicks out of Verbena MassageSpa & TeaBar, 3808 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids. However, we'll also come to your home, meet you at your favorite park or follow you anywhere, really!

What we charge:

We’re motivated by the desire to provide awesome images you can afford. That’s why we shoot the photos then load them on a thumb drive that you take home with you. That way, you own the images and can get reprints from your favorite photo store (in the Cedar Rapids area, we love Porter’s and Photo Pro) or online source (like mpix.com).
